Nothing symbolizes the height of summer in America like the 4th of July!   Fireworks, and picnics and parades! When I was growing up all my Dad’s brothers would come over and set off the fireworks…& lots of cousins around…and lots and lots of food! And games of croquet & badminton.

With the hustle and bustle of city living and since our little one is still little we have decided not to brave the traffic and crowds and instead have 4th of July in our peaceful backyard. We enjoyed BBQ, swimming, and fireworks (compliments to several of our neighbors) in the comfort of our own home.
